To implement this project in real life, we would need to focus our efforts mainly on communication because this kind of situation is widespread. Therefore, we would firstly create a massive inbound marketing strategy.
First step
It would be to create an engaging, helpful, and nurturing landing page
in order to reflect the idea of a good relationship, a website that
would be both attractive and intuitive at the same time so it could
reach the largest audience as possible. Then it is also really important
to create an important amount of other website that would be informative
and helpful for any situation related to our subject, for example “what
to do if my husband won’t listen to my opinion” or “How to feel
empowered in my relationship”, it is essential to have a great search
engine optimization to augment visibility at its best and generate an
important amount of fresh leads who could be interested by more content
and therefore would be more likely to reach to our main landing page
thanks to the engagement capacity of our articles, which is the base of
content marketing.
A good idea could also create partnerships with popular influencers
many renown personalities have been through that kind of situation and
take personally this fight against abusive relationship, since it has
been a part of their personal lives they might be able to cooperate with
us for free or a lesser revenue than if it was any other subject, thus
the return on investment of this influencer marketing would be even more
cost effective than usual. For example I am thinking about Margaux
Pinot, famous judoka who got sent in the hospital by her
trainer/partner, or Elisabeth Rioux who was victim of violence
psychological and physical for years, from her partner, the father of
her child.
Finally
We would need a good email marketing strategy to keep our customers
delighted with our services, keep spreading the communication around
this subject to hopefully reach as much women as possible in order to
limit as much as possible this situation and avoid the worst
consequences which would be acts of violence with the intent to kill, an
event that is not as rare as one may think.
We used Figma a lot to create the simulation and test for our
application, we chose it because it is simple to use and simple to
style, giving the testing user ax experience close to what we would
imagine as our final product.
Once the project is fully implemented
As long as it starts gaining the customer’s trust and a community
important enough, we could start to implement a similar project aiming
to help men stuck in abusive situations. That kind of situation may seem
exceptional but in fact is less rare than you may think, because the men
victim to abusive wives and partners are less likely to come forward
with their problem due to our society’s conception of the dominant place
of the man in a relationship, even though the violence, psychological
and physical, is the same than the other way around. Therefore, it is a
necessity to extend our service to this target as well on the long term.
Our target is going to be mainly women, but the app might also be used
by men in homosexual relationships who might be abused as well. It is
mainly going to be a young audience, from 18 to 50, who are more likely
to be reached by an online communication mean and more likely to use an
app in response to their situation. But we hope that in the long term,
we will get to reach older women through their daughters,
granddaughters, or other younger relations that they may have.
In our project, we mainly use API and database technology
We assumed that the best way to make our service accessible to everyone
is to offer it via a smartphone. Indeed, almost everyone has a phone
nowadays and spends a lot of time on it, sharing, interacting, and
finding answers to their questions. It is more discreet for a woman in
an abusive relationship to talk over her phone than to go to the doctor.
That is why we decided to create an application. Beisdes, we must give a
lot of importance to our inbound marketing campaign; develop an engaging
email marketing campaign to nurture and delight our customers so that
they become our own ambassador and gain more and more
“micro-influencers” devoted to our cause and spread the word.
We use APIs to connect the different applications together. It allows us
to connect the schedules of doctors and therapists to the user's, thus
providing them with timely online appointments. At the same time, APIs
are also used for chatting functions. It is used to implement chat and
messaging features.
In addition, the tools we could use to measure the effectiveness of our
marketing campaign, the engagement rate of our website, the
attractiveness of our emails, are called Customer Relationship
Management tools, one example is Hubspot that allows all that, as well
as measuring the effectiveness of our social media which is going to be
also a main engaging and converting tool to gain as many customers as
possible. That kind of tool allows us to know how much clicks per views
we got on our emails, how engaging is our social media campaign, how
attractive is our landing page, and etc. On the long term, it will help
us develop our services and product to convert more and more leads into
customers.
Imbedded databases are used in the appointment system and to record
all our professionals and users
Our database includes four tables, namely: list of users, doctors and
therapist, and appointment. Each table will contain corresponding
specific information. For example, the user table contains, user_id
,user_name, ID, password, and register_date. While the appointment table
contains, appointment_id, user_id, doctor_id/therapist_id, status,
appointment_date and so on. For your security considerations, all
databases will be restricted and encrypted. Your information will not be
used for any commercial activities, so you can make an appointment with
confidence. All the technical applications are to ensure you to have
simpler, safer and better services.
Donation & pay-per-check remuneration
Thanks to our many partnerships with women’s rights organization, we
have gained a lot of donations. Hopefully for us there are plenty of
fundraiser working for the same good cause as us, empowering the women,
and thanks to our social media strategy and the influencers who have
decided to support us to improve the situation of women in abusive
relationship, our fundraisers have been a true success. It is thanks to
personalities like Margaux Pinot and Elisabeth Rioux, or donation’s
organizations like care.org’s Women Empowerment Fund, UN Women or
National Organization for Women, we could make possible the creation of
this app, another step towards true equality and the disappearance of
domestic violence.
But that’s not all, in the future we are planning on using a
pay-per-click remuneration system to keep gaining means to develop our
app and service and extend the advertisement to gain visibility, so we
don’t have to rely only on donations, but first we want to find
companies that are relevant to our cause and gain the visibility
necessary to make those companies want to collaborate with us.
